In(sci)te IP is led by Dr. Salim Mamajiwalla, a Canadian patent agent with extensive experience in assisting life science companies with their intellectual property needs. After having trained as a post-doctoral fellow at the world-renowned Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, Dr. Mamajiwalla moved into the patent field and trained at premier Canadian law firms, assisting the firms' pharmaceutical, biotechnology and life science clients with their patent related intellectual property. Dr. Mamajiwalla was subsequently recruited by Biovail Corporation (now Valeant Pharmaceuticals International Inc.), Canada's largest publicly held pharmaceutical company, to head the company's IP department. Together with his corporate experience and his science background, Dr. Mamajiwalla understands the IP his clients strive to protect.
